I graduated college in August and decided to move here to teach English. This is my first time living outside of the states. I will try to post here regularly with whats going on in my life. Don’t judge me when 90% of my posts are about me getting drunk off Thai Whiskey and beer.

Songkran Festival

“Songkran is the traditional Thai New Year festival since the former time. It is a celebration that embraces goodwill, love, compassion, and thankfulness, using water as the means of expression.”

I’ve been in Thailand over 7 months now and I would say that at least 80% of the Thai people I meet ask me if I have ever been to Songkran.  It’s a huge deal out here.  For three days the entire city participates in a massive water fight.  The city I am in (Chiang Mai) is supposed the be the #1 spot for Songkran.  Should be pretty ridiculous and it lasts 3 days   Here is a link with some pics:
