I graduated college in August and decided to move here to teach English. This is my first time living outside of the states. I will try to post here regularly with whats going on in my life. Don’t judge me when 90% of my posts are about me getting drunk off Thai Whiskey and beer.

Update

Its been a long time since I’ve posted something relevant about what I’ve been doing.

I accepted a full-time position at an elementary school here in Chiang Mai.  I work Mon-Fri 730-430.  I teach mostly 4th, 5th and 6th grade.  Last week was my first week and it went pretty well.  I have a lot of freedom as to what I teach in each class which is great.  The best part though is not having an observer in the room with me.

So far the kids have been alright.  I have a few great classes, a bunch of average ones, and a couple filled with punks.  Its all good fun though.  I remember what a pain in the ass I use to be at their age so I don’t get worked up over their behavior.

My contract expires near the end of February (when the school term ends).  I will be trying to figure out my next move in the meantime.

I am also teaching part-time at a language school and a few odd hours a week with private students.
