I graduated college in August and decided to move here to teach English. This is my first time living outside of the states. I will try to post here regularly with whats going on in my life. Don’t judge me when 90% of my posts are about me getting drunk off Thai Whiskey and beer.

The Joys of Infection

Last Friday I went to another hospital to get a second opinion on my foot.  I just felt like it wasn’t really improving so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to have someone else look at it.

I went to a hospital close to my apartment.  As soon as the surgeon saw it he told me it was infected and that I needed to be admitted.   I ended up staying in the hospital for 3 nights.  They put me on an IV and injected me with some really strong antibiotics.  I can already tell the swelling has gone down.  I have to continue going in everyday to have the foot rebandaged until I meet with the surgeon again on the 24th.

I will not be going to the original hospital again since this one is much more professional. They took really good care of me - The surgeon looked at my foot twice a day and there was always a nurse popping in and out to see how I was doing.   I am on completely different anitbiotics now which I will be taking daily until everything looks good.

The visit took a big chunk out of my savings so I need to find more work -  FAST
