Basically I fell off of my motorbike late last night and really
fucked up my right foot. A truck cut me off and I was sideswiped,
falling to the ground. My foot absorbed all of the weight. Initially, I thought I was fine after the accident. When I went to stand up though I felt a sharp pain in my right foot.
I looked down to see a massive portion of flesh missing from the top
of the foot, exposing all of my muscles and a few bones. Luckily
somebody immediately called the ambulance. I was in the emergency room
in about 10 minutes. They operated on the foot for nearly 5 hours. The
muscles, as well as some ligaments and the skin had to be stitched back together.
My friend Stu and Rich were with me the entire time. I guess Rich took a 5 minute
video when I was having my foot stitched, but I was to zoned out on the morphine
to remember. I will get this video from him and post it on here. I also have a pic
of the foot, but it looks really fucking morbid. I’ll still probably post it though.
Right now I am using crutches. I have to go back to the hospital everyday for 10
days to have to foot cleaned and re-bandaged. I wont be able to walk on the foot for 2-3 weeks.
I was actually very lucky I didn’t hit my head (wasn’t wearing a helmet) or scratch
my body up even worse.
I think the thing I am most pissed about is that I lost my Rainbow sandal. I didn’t
realize until early this morning that it was gone. I love my damn rainbow sandals…
A few ‘thanks’ are in order:
Whoever called the ambulance
The foreign lady who held my hand while I was waiting for the ambulance
Morphine
Lady who stitched up my leg (not exaggerating when I say she worked on the foot for 5 hours
straight)
And my friends for waiting with me the entire time
and a fuck you to the driver of the truck for fleeing the scene
